God’s Symphony

Drew was about 4 or 5 years old when this happened.

Last night we had a huge storm at our house with lots of thunder and lightening and hail.  The house shook and it sounded like the windows would break.  Prior to the hail, Drew woke up crying that he was scared.

God gave me the coolest picture… I said do you know what this is?  He said what?  I said this is God’s band (he doesn’t know what a symphony is).  The rain is the piano, the thunder is the drums and the lightening is the cymbals.

He said… I don’t like the drums and the cymbals.  I told him to roll over, close his eyes and listen to the beautiful music the Lord was playing for us… and he did.  He completely rested in peace from that moment on, even through the major hailstorm!!!

Then I went in my bedroom laid down and said… Lord, I know You are in control of this storm, I pray protection over my family and property and all that live in the surrounding areas and I rolled over and went straight to sleep!!!

Talk about God’s peace.  It all comes from a different perspective.  He was and is in control of it all and there was no use in me worrying about it!!!  Praise God for protecting us and all the ones I know and love and giving me and my children peace in the midst of the storm!!!

Mark 4: 39 “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.”
