As a teenager I wanted a car. But my parents, frugal and retired, didn’t even talk about getting me one. I drove around with friends. I could borrow mom’s car occasionally but she needed it for work. Not until I was married did I have my own car. Even then it was because my husband supported me and let me drive the car he owned. You could say I was on life support.
Who’s driving your car? Whose support are you living by? The Lord knows all that you are dealing with, what all you have to get accomplished and how breathless your life is making you. God has given you everything you need for life and godliness. You can borrow things from other people to find breath and life occasionally, but in order to live life fully you’ll have to be on their life support for the rest of your life. Focus on God’s love and provision and watch as your relationships become easier to deal with. You will be free to live for Jesus and free to help others in their search for life support for themselves.
Oh beloved, it’s time to let God breathe His breath of life into you. It’s time to drop the things that are causing you pain and discomfort. You don’t have to make it on your own. You don’t have to recharge your own batteries or make up for lost time. Jesus has done it all for you! Relax as you are driven around in comfort, attached completely to the Holy Spirit and cruising where you need to go in the style you were born to live in.
God loves you and He’s for you. This is the way to accomplish your life for your good and His glory as you learn to live in the Light of His mercy and faith.
Acts 17: 25 “…nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;”
Job 32: 8 “But it is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.”
2 Peter 1: 3 “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.”
What is God saying to me? __________________________________________________
