Faith is to be Shared

Faith is to be Shared

Day 5   The last command of Jesus was that we share our faith. After walking among men and women and then paying our penalty for sin and resurrected from death before returning to heaven, Jesus came and spoke unto them saying: All power is given me in heaven and in earth . “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in Name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Matthew 28: …

Faith and Action

Faith and Action

Day 4 Though faith is essential, it must be put into action. We read that “without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6. When God decided to create the world, He had more than a concept, He put His concept into action, and if we want our faith to be productive, it must be put into action. As His children, God expects us to be good stewards of possessions He gave us. A great example is found in: Acts …

Faith and Creation

Faith and Creation

Day 3 Though the world was created many eons ago and I was not present, I read the account of God’s creation in my Bible and by faith accept it as truth. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 The account is too extensive to list all the scripture, but we can read about it in Genesis chapter one and two. First, it is essential to believe God exists, but that is no problem for me. It is amazing that God took a bid blog of nothing and fashioned a beautiful world. Even while sitting at my desk and …

Object of Our Faith

Object of Our Faith

Day 2 As we shall be reminded, mankind could not live without faith, but the Object of our faith is of supreme importance: because to be helpful, our faith must be in One who is abundantly able to help us. After Jesus pronounced a curse on the unfruitful fig tree and it withered, Peter mentioned it and Jesus said, ” Have faith in God.” Mark [11:22]. Then in the next verses He tells the disciples mountains can be removed, and by faith their desires can be granted. As stated, man could not live without faith, but often this truth is taken …

Faith

Faith

Day 1: This week we will concentrate on the subject of faith: But before we can do so we must know what faith is. When defining faith, I prefer using these two definitions: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1. The other meaningful definition of faith was given by a little boy. One Sunday after he returned from  Sunday school, his dad asked him what subject they had studied. He quickly replied that they had studied about faith. His father, thinking faith to be a profound subject for a little boy, asked if he had learned …
