Pearl #1: Turn Off the Search Button

The magnifying class has become the universal symbol for searching.  Whether you are in Microsoft Word or any other computer program, you can click on the magnifying glass, enter a key word, and voila – the computer will find that one word in the midst of all the other words.

Are you and I unconsciously looking for a reason to be offended and to, therefore, stop the flow of grace? Is there a person in your life that you have decided is difficult, unkind, troublesome, and so you have your magnifying glass out – scanning, looking, expecting —  her to say or do something that allows you to pounce and think, “A-ha! There it is!  I knew it!”

We have to halt the stinkin’ thinkin’ – and the mind that is devoted to scanning and searching and looking for a reason to be offended.

II Corinthians 10:5:“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

We need to make our minds…mind! As mamas, we’re good at making our kids mind.  Maybe it’s time to make our minds MIND!

We must stop scanning conversations looking for a reason to be offended. Ladies, we often find exactly what we are looking for.  Let’s stop looking for a reason or an excuse to stop the flow of Grace.

The woman of God turns off the search button.
