A Call to Dream

As last year ended, I set and purposefully reflected on the past. Looking at goals I set, dreams achieved and the work God had done in my life.  I even looked at my failures and how I learned and grew from them. Then I begin to dream.

I prayed asking God to draw out the dreams He put in my heart and to help me not to dismiss what seems too big or out of reach.  Then I just begin to write about whatever was on my heart. What would my life look like the next year personally, professionally, in my marriage, as a mother and friend?

I felt a word stirring.  This is the year of dreams coming true.  God is going to breathe life to dreams in your heart.  He will put a fire in your bones to not let go of that dream. He’s calls you to dream and equips you to walk out that dream and give birth to it.

God himself birthed a dream in His heart as He spoke it into existence.  He called the stars to the sky, water to the earth and released the individual uniqueness of people, plants and animals.  All these things did not exist anywhere until He spoke and released the dream into being.

Last year things happened and it caused me to stop dreaming.  I pressed pause on what God placed in my heart.  I hear Him calling me to dream again. Dare to dream and believe those dreams are possible.  Do not fear disappointment and repress the dream. Do not hold back, be bold, write and make it plain. Look at it, cultivate it, speak about it.  Let God breathe life into it and released it into existence.

He created you in His images. You were made to dream and create with God. I hear Him saying “Daughter, do not fear.  Do not let the past and situations in your life stifle the dream I have placed in you. Come my daughter into the fullness of living and dreaming.  Dream with Me. I have placed in you a dream that only you carry, only you can birth and only you can see it come to fruition. Your season of dreaming is not over; it did not pass like your youth.  I have called you to be like little children and dare to dream, believe and image. Let my creativity flow from within you. Let me unlock that place within you that allows you to dream. Do not dismiss what appears out of your reach.  Awake from your slumber and delight in Me. I placed the desires in your heart and I know its longings. Wake my daughter and see Me in your everyday, in your hearts desires, in your dreams, in your words and even in the mundane. As you begin to see Me you will become more awake to the dream, the passion, the purpose I placed in you.  These are My dreams that I have given to you to birth. I created you in My image so go forth dream and create.”

This next year is the year for dreams to be birthed, released and to come true.  When we allow our hearts to dream with God we come alive in ways we never felt possible.  He wants you to step out and trust Him. Get your pen and paper and allow Him to cultivate in you the dream that only you were created to carry.  You contain a treasure that the world is waiting for. Your area of influence needs you to dare to dream and believe it possible.

Isaiah 55: 8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Those dreams were placed there by Him.  You were not meant to understand how it will happen or if you are able.  You were created a vessel to give life to the dream. Let go and let the powerful breath of God blow.  When God’s breath blows we are taken to new heights and we experience Him in greater ways. As you let God breathe life in you He brings your dreams alive.

Genesis 2: 7 “then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”

As you head into 2019, I hope you take time to set, be still and dream with God.  Receive direction and vision and purpose for your next year. Allow God’s mighty breath to blow over you and breathe life into the deep places of your hearts where your dreams are stored.  Respond my sweet sisters to the call to dream and just dare to believe that what He shows you can come true.
