A Life Overflowing

A Life Overflowing

I sat to write looking at this image of a women’s feet as she stood with them submerged in the waters of a crystal clear creek and I became completely undone.  I unraveled all that was held inside and I poured out upon the pages of my journal all about my journey.  And God grabbed me and showed me this image and what it represents.  A life poured out for Him, overflowing with Living Water. Then it became my prayer for us.  For YOU and for me, for every women who will read this today and in the years to come.

Lord, help us live truly poured out lives for You.  Help us to remain in the river so that we can overflow with Your living waters so that our lives saturate the world around us. Everywhere You lead Lord, the soles of our feet take ground for You.  No matter where we are in our journey we want and desire to live for You. Fill us so we can pour out Your goodness everywhere we go. Amen!

I am talking to YOU…right now…YOU!  As you read this I know your thinking this type of life is for the “names” of the Christian world, or it is for the missionaries, or for that one women at your church but NO God is saying IT IS FOR YOU!

You can live poured out and overflowing in the line at the grocery store, in the busy board room, in the nursery at church, scrubbing bathrooms and doing dishes at home, in raising kids or venturing off to another land.

He has called you to drink from the well.  He wants to meet you there and let you thirst no more.  He wants your life to become a well spring overflowing with living waters that will over flow and saturate everyone in your path.

Yes, in the mundane everyday moments of your life.  That is how He met the women at the well. She was going about her daily tasks and He met her there.  So He can meet others through you in the normal everyday moments of your life.

This is not just for the Christian superstars, it is for you and for me.  This life is not our own so let us declare our lives for His purpose and let’s fill up and pour out and overflow everywhere we are today.

“Jesus answered and said unto her, Every one that drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life”  John 4: 13-14
