I love to clean. I know that’s crazy, right? Most people I know turn their noses up when it comes to cleaning. That’s alright; it’s a messy job.
One day as I was cleaning I found a book with a poem written in it. Reading the poem I thought to myself, “This should have been published.”
The poem was written in my mother’s journal. Mom loved to write (I guess that’s where I get my love for writing.) Since my sweet mama died 5 years ago, the words I read were extra special to me. And I would like to share them with you.
The Child
I saw a child with mustard seed faith stand before God with trust on his face.
His face was aglow with love of his Savior. Not a doubt could you see; he knew he had favor.
At the sight of this child in the midst of those praying, my heart was so full that tears filled my eyes.
If only we all could have the faith of a mustard seed. If only we all could have the faith of this child.
My mom was an extraordinary lady. She loved Jesus. Now she’s seen the face of God and lives with Him every day. What she wrote about mustard seed faith has so much power in it. God says it in His Word like this,
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Matthew 17:20.
