Scripture: Joshua 1:1-8
“After Moses’ death the Lord said to Joshua, Moses’ aide: “My servant Moses is dead; so He told Moses to take all the people in his territory and cross the Jordan River into the land of promise. And God promised s He was with Moses, He’d be with them. And told the people to be strong and of good courage.” Joshua 1:1-2
One truly needs to be strong and courageous when undertaking any responsibility. and especially one as paramount as leading the rebellious children of Israel, However, Joshua accepted the challenge and the Israelites continued their journey to the land of Canaan. What is the greatest challenge you have faced in life?
Perhaps one of mine was accepting a teaching position as a recent graduate in a school where I’d replace a teacher much more capable and experienced than I was. Another challenge was leaving Arkansas to live in Florida, and begin a new life.
Prayer: Father, during my long life I endured many adversities: But have found Your grace to be sufficient as promised And in Jesus’ name I thank You for Your love, Amen.
