A place for everything and everything in its place.
This phrase comes to mind this morning. It’s so very true. But once you’ve lived somewhere for 20 plus years you start to burst at the seams with everything. I’ve found that I have more things than places. It might be time to start downsizing, at least on the stuff. One thing is for sure there is always room for what I hold dearest. I just find that my dearest possessions are dearer and less possessing.
Oh beloved, God speaks to our hearts this morning. There is a place for you and me. We belong somewhere. And when we are in our place we find the most satisfaction and peace. Sometimes things happen and our place we held so dear is shaken. You may find yourself wishing for that security and hoping you can return to what was.
But God wants you to know that your home is not in the things and the buildings of this life. Your home is in heaven. You’ve changed owners. Jesus bought you and He has changed your value. You have become His dearest possession. Don’t let the enemy tell you that you don’t have a place. Even when your present situation and position is shaken, you have not been left alone or abandoned. This is not the time to feel the loss, but rather it’s the time to feed on his faithfulness and trust Him to put you where He wants you. He will reveal His plan as you allow Him deeper access to your heart and give Him all your plans and hopes.
God loves you and He’s for you. Bloom where you are planted. But if things get uprooted, know beloved that you are meant to bloom always, ever bearing the aroma of Christ and always trusting the works of the Lord. Rejoice that you can find your place and know you will be taken there by the Lord. And praise Him that you are always His dearest possession no matter where you go!
Ephesians 1: 13-14 “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”
James 1: 18 “He chose to give birth to us by giving us His true word. And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession.”
Psalm 84: 10 “A single day in Your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else!”
