Ephesians 2: 8-10 “For by grace have you been saved through faith, and this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest no one will boast. For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Though God is the Great Potter, He blesses His children by allowing them to share in His work. As early as the time He placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, he gave him work to perform. His first job was naming the animals, and one of man’s curses was to till the soil from which he was formed by God. Later after man became very wicked, God gave Noah the superb task of building the ark. And to mention the tasks of a few others, He gave Abraham the honor of becoming the father of many, gave Joseph the task of providing food for the Israelites during a famine, used prophets to warn His people of approaching doom, and allowed His Son Jesus to die for the sinful people of the world.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, though many of Your children will never be listed in the Hall of Fame, not a sparrow falls to the ground without Your awareness, and You know the number of hairs on each head. Thank You for that unique love and awareness. I pray and thank You in the name of Jesus. Amen
