Anchor of Trust

With our new internet we decided to try tv as well. We have been off the grid with regular channels for quite a few years. Now I love getting to watch home remodeling and such again. But some of those channels now have programs that we just have to avoid. Things have changed on tv. Things are changing in the world as well.

But we can’t give up, can we? Just as we pray for our loved ones and friends, so too we keep praying for our country, our leaders and those who wish to destroy our godly heritage. It’s not time to hide and wait. It’s time to be bolder for the faith.

Oh beloved, prayer seems elusive at times I know. You have prayed and prayed and prayed. Still you see nothing. You wonder. You try to remain steadfast but you wonder if God hears you. His Word says He hears the prayer of the righteous. Yet some prayers seem to fall like leaves from a winter tree. Lying on the ground are your hopes and dreams. You want to pick those yet unanswered prayers up and paste them back where you think they belong.

God speaks to your heart and mine this morning. Trust is your anchor in times like these. He is moving in your midst and He is formulating things in the Spirit that you can’t even see. He is turning your mess into a message. He is rearranging your life for your good and most of all His glory. What once was a source of immense struggle, pain and embarrassment for you will become an entrance for God’s glory. You who have prayed in secret and kept on praying, will become mouthpieces for the Kingdom of God! You aren’t being tortured with hope deferred, you are being strengthened in the battle. And beloved, even in the battleground you are being carried by His love and ushered through the front lines by the Cross.

God loves you and He’s for you. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Keep your heart soft toward the King. Keep your prayers fervent in spite of the pain. Keep walking in right standing with Him. And run to Him this morning for special dispensation – for more wisdom, power and love. And rejoice that you get to bring all your needs to the Throne Room where once no one could enter. And rejoice too that you get to formulate more trust in the Lord who always gives the best to His own. And live, beloved, as a fervent warrior of the Most High as you walk in His truth no matter what goes on around you knowing that God will reveal His will at just the right time for you.

Psalm 146: 5 But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God.
