Doomsday Predictions abound but we are called to seek His face, read His Word and practice His love, mercy and grace.
Hubby decided he wanted to watch a movie about a scientist survivor of a man-made plague that transforms humans into bloodthirsty mutants.
Yeah. I just couldn’t watch it. While I have no fear I still didn’t want to watch a movie about a plague that wiped out most of the world. A little close to home.
Oh beloved we are in what they are calling a pandemic. Some folks are sure it is the beginning of the end. Others are sure it’s just something we will get through. Most are a little confused and feel uncertain.
God says now is not the time to listen to worst case scenarios or “doomsdayers”. While He wants you informed He also wants your main focus to be on Him. Questions for the believer should be “God what are You doing today?” “What is Your Word for this hour?” And for sure we must be seeking His face, reading His Word and practicing His love, mercy and grace.
God wants his people alert but not fearful. Ready but not fatalistic. He is sending you assurance along with wisdom. And He gives you peace along with power. While the world is unprepared you as a child of God are the most prepared through Christ. Not just to barely make it or hope for the best. But to rise up and praise the Lord, speak the Word and help others know Him better!
God loves you and He’s for you. He isn’t out to get you but He is calling you to a closer walk. Go to Him first thing this morning and ask Him for insight for living. And then live free and flourish in the light of His wonder working power.
Ephesians 4: 14-15 …We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
Colossians 2: 7 Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
2 Timothy 2: 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
