Assurance

When Danny was suddenly ill the first thing I thought was how could I live without him? That thought wasn’t about the money. It was about his presence. Forty four years of relationship was so quickly reduced to a pivotal moment. Sure he’s got life insurance. But I want him!

As he has been recovering it’s been quite miraculous. And yet I cling to every moment as it has become even dearer to me. Snoring is even comforting. I may have a little problem even being away from him. He’s independent though so he will help me with that! Lol

Oh beloved. Jesus is not life insurance. And He was never meant to be considered that. But He is indeed your assurance of life. He is real and He’s alive. And He wants a relationship with you. He cares and He works out everything you go through for your best and His glory. His loving care extends to you everyday life. Every thought you think, every breath you take, every decision you make is important to Him. Because He is your assurance He is here to assure you that He will guide you and bless you as you build your relationship with Him. The best assurance you have is Christ in you- the hope of glory!

God loves you and He is for you. Don’t relegate Him to a formal document. Run to Him this morning and thank Him for this life of faith! Abandon the ordinary and take on the extraordinary as you live in the Presence of the One Who gave His all for you!

Matthew 20: 28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many.

John 17: 3 This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Philippians 3: 8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ

2 Peter 1: 2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
