Called To Worship

Are You Up For Peter’s Challenges?

 3. We are called to worship

I Peter 2: 5 & 6 – You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.  For in scripture it says:  “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”

Oh, how I love to worship my Lord.  I don’t have to be inside a building to worship Him.  I have the freedom to worship Him whenever and wherever I am.  Whether, I am home alone singing (actually I am making a joyful noise) and dancing to the music on K-love, driving down the expressway worshiping Him and thanking Him for all of the blessings I have.  I will worship Him always.

I am not ashamed of how I worship.  Sometimes I worship with raised hands and sometimes I worship by sitting quietly with my head bowed and my eyes closed.

I will never make excuses or apologize for how I worship my Lord because I know I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.  Don’t be afraid of your worship – embrace it, enjoy it and own it.
