A subject that has become near and dear to me is that of accomplishing God’s will for your life. So many Christians live on this earth without ever realizing their instilled potential, something the Lord intended to be used as they carry out His work. And, let me tell you, it takes a lot of faith (and patience!) to keep doing what needs to be done in order for His will to be fulfilled. These devotions are coming directly from my own personal experience – just highly abridged – and I hope what I’ve learned can help some of you!
The very first thing is to answer the call He places on your life…even if it makes no sense in the beginning! You simply have to have enough faith to follow His direction. Don’t worry about the end result – or even the next step – just be willing. Of course, to even hear the call, you have to be in tune with Him and able to know it’s His voice.
Jesus said, “The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.”
John 10:27 (AMP)
(I like this version, because it adds the key word “listening”.)
So, if you want to be in the center of His will, you have to be centered in His Word.
