Scripture: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me: your rod and staff comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23
Though we have been concentrating our thoughts on men who walked with God, as a shepherd boy, David spent many hours in the pastures not only walking with His Great Shepherd, but basking in His beauties. So he is included with men who walked with Jesus.
Prayer thought: I do not know about you, but psalms bring peace and contentment to me in times of need. Though David sinned grossly, he repented and God forgave him, but his life was filled with many problems. God does forgive our sins when we repent and ask His forgiveness, but Jesus makes that possible and we thank God in Jesus’ name. Amen.
