Scripture: Philippians 2: 3-11 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”
Each of us should look not only to our own interests, but to the interests of others. Our attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ: who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness, and being as a man in appearance, He humbled Himself and was obedient to death: even death on a cross.
Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name: that at the name of Jesus Christ every knee should bow in heaven and on earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God, the Father.
Since I can’t improve on the words of Paul, we will close today’s devotional with a prayer thanking Jesus Christ for making it possible to be one of God’s adopted children. For what an amazing blessing to be one of His heirs.
