Dig Deeper

This has not been the best year for gardens in our area. Quite a few people have called in and others have brought in samples to be seen by the agents. When things are not so apparent we send the samples on to the disease lab for further examination. Even soil samples are being collected. If you scratch the surface and bring that soil in for testing you will get a far different result than digging deeper. Just a mere half foot deeper and your soil will show true nutrients.

Oh beloved, God says to us all this morning, bring your problems and issues to Him. He sees deeper and He is able to not only diagnose the problem but by His Spirit He can amend the soil of your heart and give you a greater outcome for fruitfulness than you would ever have if you only scratch the surface. Bring your problems – your worries, your withered hopes and all to Him. He is your healer and He promises to give you relief. As you dig deeper with Him, by His Spirit, you will find a new level of fruitfulness you never thought possible.

God sees your heart and He knows your hopes and desires. He is your source of relief as well. You weren’t born again to carry deep problems and issues. You were born to live free of the burdens that the world carries. He calls you chosen and therefore He also has destined for you to have great fruitfulness in your personal life and in your outward life. Just as gardens have to have water to flourish so must have the water of the Word and the Spirit to live abundantly and flourish in your world. As He calls you into His life of abiding in the Vine, you will experience life as you’ve dreamed of. You’re not the sum of your poor experiences- you are the living, breathing, thriving representation of what Jesus will do with territory that is totally given to Him!

God loves you and He’s for you. He is trustworthy to see your needs and show you what’s best for your life. Run to Him this morning and let Him tend to your heart. And praise Him as you are relieved of burdens and enjoy the fruitful life, walking in the light of His Merciful hand!
