Do You Know Your Worth?

All of my dolls were left in the garage of my parents’ house. When, years later, when my husband and I and our three children moved into that house we got those dolls out. They had been in bad weather and were dusty and moldy. So we decided it was best to just get rid of them. Each doll had a name and were special in some way to me. One of my favorites was a walking bride doll. She came in a beautiful dress with a veil and if you held her hand just right, her legs moved in a way that seemed like she was walking. She had received a grave injury early on by a childhood friend of mine. My dad had managed to put the pulled off arm back, but it was never the same. Still I loved her and kept her in my room all those years of childhood. Off they went to the dump that day.

Lo and behold the next day those dolls were in our neighbor’s yard! Mr. Stone had retrieved them from the dump and cleaned them up! He thought they were worth restoring!

Oh beloved, you may feel this morning like a throw away. You’ve been relegated to the garage of life and things aren’t going well at all. Hardship has ruined your beautiful dress and you’ve got the smudges of sorrow, pain and grief on your face. You feel lie a throw away. Discarded, unloved, unwanted, just refuse for the dump.

But hold on! God is a specialist at retrieving people from the burn pile and giving them a fresh start! He is expert at changing what looks like an impossible situation! He is the retriever of lost hope! He is the redeemer of broken things. And this morning He wants to remind you that He says you are worth restoring! He wants you to lay down the lies of the enemy. He wants wipe your tears and remove the smudges that life has given you. He is working all things out for His glory and your good! It’s time to start believing and receiving what He says about you – beloved, cherished, blessed, chosen! He also wants you to see yourself as He sees you – perfected in Christ, beautiful, and worth it! Oh so worth it!

God loves you and He’s for you. He is even this morning restoring the years to you. He is making things brand new! He is pouring the ointment of mercy, grace and fresh fire on you! You are His Bride and He will never forsake you! He is coming for you one day, but in the meantime – live the Truth of who you are and enjoy the walk you have with Him and live in the Light of His Glorious purpose and love!
