“On the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” And He showed them his hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw Jesus. Again He said to them, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And He breathed on them and told them to receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20: 19-22
Though the disciples probably marveled that Jesus came through closed doors to enter the room, Scripture tells us they were glad to see Him. And Jesus gave proof He was the Risen Jesus by showing His nail pierced hands and side.
Aren’t you thankful being lowered into a grave in the cemetery is not the end: though the physical body with return to dust, the Spirit already is with the Lord, and when He (Jesus) returns, we will be with Him to receive other believers. Thank You Jesus, and help us continue serving God and not grow weary in well doing. Amen.
