I woke up in the night and as I customarily do I took a look outside our bedroom window. It was so moonlit that everything was clearly seen. It was almost as bright a daylight. We had seen the moon rising as we came home earlier in the evening, but I had no idea just how bright and clear it would all be in the middle of the night.
I’ll be the first to admit I don’t understand everything that I encounter in my life. Some things are especially hard to deal with. But as I focus on His light rather than my encounter with darkness I find trust, peace and patience to wait on Him. What else can any of us do?
Oh beloved, God wants you to know that even when you walk in the dark He is your light. And His light is brighter than anything you will ever experience here on earth. He will also make all things clearly visible so that you don’t have to worry about walking into trouble. He also knows what you are going through. He sees it all perfectly. He understands your hurts and fears. But you will never walk alone and you will never remain in the dark forever. He clarifies all situations in His timing. Don’t give up now. Don’t wrestle in the dark with unknowns. Look into the perfect Word and see the Light of His truth.
He wants you know as well that even if you are in a time of uncertainty and you want to find the blame for the situation in yourself, He says you cannot fix everything, nor are you responsible for every situation that comes your way. Again, look to Him and find true radiance in yourself. Trust Him, wait on Him and know He will light the way every step you take. Eventually all things will come to the Light and you will be clear sighted and clear headed for the outcome.
God loves you and He’s for you. Next time you look out at the moonlit night, remind yourself that the Light of the Word, Jesus is with you always. And remind yourself that the entrance of God’s Word into your every situation brings Light. And rejoice that you don’t have to fix it because all things work together for your good. God will bless you, protect you, watch over you and guide you all the way no matter what.
