Day 3
I read the account of God’s creation in my Bible and by faith accept it
as truth.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
The account is too extensive to list all the scripture, but we can read about it
in Genesis chapter one and two.
amazing that God took a bid blog of nothing and fashioned a beautiful world. Even while sitting at my desk and looking through the window, I can see enough of God’s handiwork to confirm my belief there is a Creator and He created these beauties,
I enjoy the carpet of lush green grass that is our lawn; the colorful hibiscus and roses that adorn the front yard. And it is relaxing to watch the feathered fronds of the graceful palm trees swaying gently in the morning breeze. And sometimes I am blessed to see a colorful butterfly or tiny hummingbird fluttering over a flower sampling its sweet nectar.
If that were not sufficient evidence to confirm my belief of God, I see leaves on trees being rustled by the wind. As true of God, I can not see the wind, but see and feel its effects. If God is not in charge of the wind and these and countless other awesome things, who is?
Who causes the sun to rise in the east each morning and set in the west each evening?
Who graced the magnificent night sky with the luminous moon and its myriad of stars?
Who forms the clouds and sends the rain on the just and unjust?
Who created that lizard playing outside my window?
Who created that tiny bird sitting on a tree limb warbling her melodious song?
Who is the creator of dragonflies that dart to and fro through the air like
miniature airplanes?
Father, thank You for creating this beautiful world and I am sorry that mankind has nor been better stewards. We pray and thank You in Jesus Name. Amen.
