Have you ever pondered on this verse? There is no comparison to any other thing in our lives! I have heard Christians say, “there is nothing God cannot do!” I understand the premise for their statement, but I would say (and thankfully so) that there really are some things God cannot do. He cannot lie, He cannot sin, He cannot change, and there are others, but what a blessing that He cannot remember forgiven sin!!! What a gift! What freedom!!!
There are times I try to “re-confess” sin. I am sure you have been there, too. It is almost like God says, “What? I don’t know what you are talking about!”
Glory to God that He forgives and forgets! Glory to God that the price has been paid in full for my sin by Jesus Christ himself! The next time satan and his demons try out their guilt accusations on us, let’s just praise God for forgiving us and remembering our sins no more!!! Now, that is real freedom!!! Hallelujah and praise the Lord!
