“For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You: for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; my soul knows it well.” Psalm 139: 13-14
Long before I was born, God knew who my parents would be, the color of my skin and eyes, where I’d be born and when and where I will die. It is no wonder the psalmist could praise God, and I also praise and thank Him, not only for forming my body, but for providing a way of escape after my became tainted by sin.
After I was blessed with a new born child, held him in my arms, and he looked into my eyes with his beautiful blue eyes, we bonded forever. I do not know how any mother can have that blessed experience and not trust in God and seek His help while raising her child.
Heavenly Father, I made mistakes while rearing our children, but in spite of mistakes, evidently my husband and I did a few things right: for though far from perfect, I think most mothers would be proud of sons like mine. But that could not have been achieved without divine help; so l thank You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
