God’s Supreme Gift of Grace

God’s Supreme Gift of Grace

“For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son: that whosoever believes in Him should never perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but so the world might be saved through Him.”  John 3: 16-17

What loving grace of our heavenly Father to allow His Son to come to earth, be born in a stable, be mistreated by man, and then die on the old rugged cross to pay for mankind’s sins: even those who nailed Him to the cross.

Perhaps as Paul remembered his past life while persecuting Christianity, he realized it was for sinners like him that Jesus gave His sinless life.  And I am amazed that in God’s grace He rescued a sinful young woman in Arkansas and adopted her into His royal family How He loves you and us!

And to add to the gift of salvation, nothing not any body can take it from us: for scripture tells us, so.

” What then shall we say to these  things? If God is for us who , who can be against us? He did not spare His only Son but gave Him up for all of us: will He not give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies? Who can condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died, more than that He was raised and is at the right hand of God interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, for your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep for the slaughter. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us: for I’m persuaded   that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”  Romans 6: 31-39.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the security of our salvation based on Your word. And thank You in  Jesus’ name for making our salvation possible. Amen.
