Hiding and Being Hidden

My grands love to play hide and seek.  When they were younger if they could not see me they thought they were unseen.  Even when half their bodies were out in the open they felt hidden.  After a while they learned to hide better and be even quieter.  It got harder to find them.  And they got more creative in their places to hide.  Inside closets, underneath blankets, beds and behind furniture.  They are good at it.

This morning God speaks to our hearts about hiding and being hidden.

Oh beloved, you are hidden in Christ!  Your life is a secure hiding place away from the wrath of God.  In Christ you are secure, safe and kept.  And as you hide God’s Word in your heart you are storing up weaponry for those times when the enemy comes to thwart God’s plan for your life.  When things are shaking in your world you will remember whose you are – in Christ you can do all things.  When the enemy encroaches on territory that belongs to you the Word will come forth to remind you that the favor of God makes you invincible and unstoppable.  No weapon formed against you will prosper.  When the spirit of disappointment tries to take over your life it is the Word of God that you hid in your heart in the days of sunshine that will fight the gloominess away.  He gives the oil of joy instead of mourning over anything.  Each time you hide the Word in your heart God deposits it into your memory bank.  It is the Word that overcomes everything.

God loves you and He’s for you.  There is an incredible destiny for you as you keep your life hidden in Christ and keep God’s Word in your heart!  This is work of faith is unprecedented!  It sets demons to flight and gives you moving forward even when things look awry.  Keep the Word close at hand for it is the loveliest, strongest and most passionate message you will ever know.  And rejoice that you have safe haven with Christ and miraculous weaponry with the Word as you live invincible and free in the Light of His Truth for your life!
