Hold on a Second

However it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’- the things God has prepared for those who love him- these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God” (1 Corinthians 2: 9 and 10).

Read it again, take a minute and soak it in. I want you to think about something for me. These two verses make a really big claim, a promise, that if you are not looking and thinking about you will miss.  It starts like this, God.  God of the universe the creator of everything, the one that made your most favorite things, the things that you most cherish, the most magnificent sights that you have ever seen, the best of the best of all things. God has done something that we cannot even start to imagine or comprehend, no human even the smartest people you know can’t conceive of what he has done.

So what has he done? Oh precious ones, words cannot even do this one justice just soak in the excitement. The scripture says “the things God has prepared for those who love him.” Yes, you read it right, he, the creator of everything has prepared something for those who love him. Oh my! You know it has to be good! I’ve seen some pretty magnificent things in my day, but this says nothing will compare, nothing, “no eye has seen”. Doesn’t that just make you feel like a kid on Christmas morning before your parents woke up. Please dear ones, I’m begging you today that when things get tough.  When life happens and you are feeling low, or even when you are going throughout your normal day, stop and think.  Remember, that the creator of everything has a plan for you and that it is going to be so good you can’t… I can’t… no one can… imagine how great it is really going to be.

Be strong and courageous!
