Hole In The Roof

We went riding around for a while yesterday. Danny wanted to see where a tree had fallen on the power lines near our house the night before. He also wanted to check a couple of creeks out to see just how much flooding we had.

While driving on one highway I noticed a house that was falling in. We used to know who lived in that house and I was surprised. There was a huge hole in the roof. Danny said he had heard they were preparing to burn it as practice for the fire department. The huge hold in the roof, put there on purpose, was definitely going to cause problems.

Oh beloved, this morning God brings that hole in the roof to mind. And He wants you and me to know that we have to be careful. The enemy wants to burn our houses down. And all it takes to start the destruction is to allow him to put a hole in the roof. He wants the damage so he’s more than willing to keep you focused things that put a hole in the roof. He wants to take all you ever hoped for and burn it to the ground. Everything starts out little, but can cause big problems with the integrity of the building.

But God is bigger than this! He’s bigger than your internal issues. Jesus was big enough to go to the cross for you. He’s big enough to make a way for you to walk in His forgiveness, His peace, His purpose and His life changing character. The Savior always wants to save the whole man. He’s a life changer! He takes broken homes and mends them. He takes broken people and heals them. He doesn’t just repair the roof, He installs a whole new covering!

God loves you and He’s for you. Thank the Lord that you have help with every issue of your life. Praise Him that the roof of your house is secure. And live in the light of His overwhelming protection and care as you walk in faith, speaking the truth over your entire household and living in the Truth as well!
