Homeless

Living in Florida, a state surrounded by water on three sides, makes it an easy target for hurricanes. So during October, 2016, Matthew came roaring through the Atlantic Ocean to Central Florida leaving devastation in its path. Amidst the destruction water was blown into the walls of my house, which resulted in mold. Later Hurricane Irene added to our problem and we were advised to vacate the house. As far as I knew my house was the only house in the housing addition which was damaged, and in my mind questioned why my house and no others. Was God punishing me? Maybe I ‘d been too proud of my house, but then I realized my house was a prime target: it is located on a corner lot, has a park in front; a street on one side, a one story house on the other side. And besides God sends rain on the just and unjust.

However, at my age it is difficult to live in, and adjust to, so many different places. But I refused to sit idle and twiddle my thumbs, when enjoying good health; so with the help of my friend Scotti Strickland, I continued my writing ministry and wrote several books, wrote and sent poems to some of my email recipients, and did research when necessary.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father,  I know  that You are leaving me on earth for some purpose, and while waiting for You to call me home or return for me, I refuse to remain idle. Jesus made these things possible; so I thank You in His name. Amen.
