Hope, Peace, Joy and Love

During this time of year, Christians focus on the birth of Jesus. He was the Son of God born to become the sacrifice for the sins of the world. Because He died on the cross and was resurrected conquering sin and death, Jesus is our only hope, peace, joy and unconditional love that we can experience both in this life and the next.  It is only through Him that these life conditions are met.

He is our Hope of eternal life because of His sacrifice.

Titus 1:2  “…in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.”

Acts 26:6 “And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers.”

He is our Peace to the soul because Jesus provides us with peace in knowing that no matter the circumstance, He and He alone has control of all things and works them for good for the glory of His Kingdom.

Romans 5:1-3 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

He is our Joy in life when we recognize the wonderful blessings we have received from God Himself including joy in knowing that our eternal destination is secure.

John 15:11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”
Acts 2:28  “You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence”
1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?”

We have the Love of God who gave His One and Only Son to die for our sins when we deserved it not.  Love so amazing that no matter how ugly our lives have become, He loves us still.  Love called Hesed” which means the consistent, ever-faithful, relentless, constantly-pursuing, lavish, extravagant, unrestrained, furious, loving kindness and everlasting love of our God who shows grace and mercy. Nothing can compare to God’s love.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

As this Christmas season fast approaches, please take the time to reflect on the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love made available to you by Jesus Christ the Messiah. Remember who He is and why He came. He was the sacrificial Lamb of God, our Savior, and our King.  He was born of a virgin, lived among men, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead and is coming again!! Praise the Lord!!

If you do not know Jesus as your Savior, please don’t wait another minute.  Your hope, peace, joy and love await you through the Savior Jesus Christ.  If you do not know how, go to this link https://myjourneyoffaith.com/howtobecomeachristian/   for more information.
