As a girl I remember going to my friend’s house and they were cleaning windows. They had old toothbrushes and they were scrubbing every inch of the window, from wood frames to glass panes. I joined them! Their example seemed like fun to me. As I looked out my window this morning in the kitchen I realized I need to clean my windows too. It’s been a while. Without cleaning the panes I won’t be able to see the full beauty of the world around me.
Oh, beloved, has your view of the world gotten dingy? Are you unsure if God is still available and ready to help you see things in a better light? Your situation may be so hard, but God is able to renew your viewpoint so that His glory is seen everywhere. Clean the window of your heart as well and let the Son shine in! Run to His Word and wipe it all away – even the cobwebs that like to linger in the corners will be gone as you apply God’s Word to everyday life. Ordinary windows become extraordinary views for you as you realize who God is and what He has planned for you in spite of the bad news of your life or the bad news of the world’s day.
God loves you and He’s for you. Keep His Word handy for little spots that spoil the view. And rejoice that you are clean before Him as you live in the Light of His Glory & Grace!
Nehemiah 9:6 “You alone are the LORD. You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship You.” NLT
