I Don’t Care

As Drew and I were watching tv this morning the evil genius of the show had made an “I don’t care N’ator”.  I sat enthralled as the main purpose of this was for the evil genius to zap someone with it and create apathy so that he could more forth with his plans for takeover.  I instantly thought wow the enemy of our souls has zapped so many people, especially Christians with the “I don’t care N’ator” and we have sat back quietly and let the enemy have his way in our lives, families, churches and yes our nation.

There is such a spirit of apathy and I have to be honest that I succumb to it much more than I would like. It is time for us to get down on our knees and pray for God to heal our broken lives, homes, churches and nation!!  I was reading last night about the Israelites and how for a time they would serve God and then when that leader or generation was gone the next one would not serve God and would be disciplined until God raised up someone else to stand up and lead His people rightly… Judges 1-3.  Oh, how we need people to stand up for God’s truth and lead others to follow His commands!! We need to be those people and pray for our leaders to be those people regardless of who those leaders are! God is still in control of all things.  That does not mean all things are going to be great all the time or even good all the time. But it does mean we can trust Him in all things. He is sovereign and He can be trusted with our lives and the lives of those we love!

Judges 2: 8-10, 16 Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of a hundred and ten. And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Heres in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash. 10 After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel…16 Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders.
