Reflections from Corinne’s Garden
Magnifying the Light of Jesus in Our Daily Lives
Day 1 –Intercessory Prayer
“I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. “ John 8:12, NET
As you focus on Magnifying the light of Jesus in Our Daily Lives, you will be reminded that it is God who is Magnifying Jesus in your life and I encourage you to focus on Him throughout this week as we dive into Day I – Intercessory Prayer
1 Samuel 12:23 –“God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you
I have spent many hours in intercessory prayer as I walked the antique brick paths of the city park flower garden I lovingly named Corinne’s Garden after my disabled granddaughter. Throughout this time spent in “Corinne’s Garden” I have gained new insight into the role of the Holy Spirit in prayer; we cannot really pray without the direction and energy of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:25-27). “Our Patient Intercessor is intensely engaged with us each time we pray. Think in these terms, “intercessory prayer unleashes the mercy of God; intercessors always plead for God’s compassion.
Before you begin this devotion I encourage you to ask God to utterly control you by His Spirit, believe by faith that He does, and thank Him.
