Meet “Jennifer Booth”
My name is Jennifer, and I’m a recovering perfectionist. You too? I’m so glad to meet you!
For most of my adult life I’ve tried to live up to unrealistic expectations…expectations placed on me by the world and by my own self. Trying to live up to these expectations is hard work! Not to mention very discouraging when I feel I don’t measure up.
So, I’ve determined to break free from those unrealistic expectations to pursue peace…not perfection.
How? Well, my first step is to place my faith in Jesus Christ. It’s the only way I can even remotely hope to maintain the peace I so desperately crave. He is the true source of peace that we all need.
I also pursue peace by spending time with God through prayer and Bible study. You see, if I focus on God and His perfect will for me, all else is just noise and distraction.
It is my hope that you’ll be encouraged as you read my blog and that you will find real and practical methods for pursuing peace and leaving perfection behind.
Now that you know my motivation about why I blog, let me share a few fun facts about me. I am married to Steven and mom to Harrison and Elizabeth. I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. I am an inactive CPA. I am a regular contributor to Missions Mosaic magazine. I love to scrapbook. I love paper-planners, books, notebooks…you name it and I love it! I’m an avid reader.
