Jesus is the Life Changer: Day 5

Gardening and Life – Both Have to Be Worked

Gardening is high on the subject of farmers and homemakers alike. It’s time to till the soil. It’s time to break up that fallow ground and remove the clods and make the soil ready for the seeds and the plants. Without working the ground, you’d never make a garden worth having. Try putting seeds out on flat untilled ground. The birds will swoop in and take most of the seeds. If there are any left, they might germinate but they won’t be strong enough to flower or be fruitful.

Oh beloved, you may be feeling like life is turning you over and over. You want to blame people, places or position. You feel like a clod in the path of the plow! You try to settle in and have life be “normal” but just as you settle in, the breaking up of those clods of comfort begins again. Relax precious one. Even if things are happening in the natural, God is breaking up your fallow ground in the supernatural. He uses all things to work them into your good and His glory. He’s making you more pliable and fruitful for His Kingdom. Trust Him. Let Him do what only He can do. Once done you will be a magnificent garden of His delight! Know, too, that He will work your heart and mind regularly until you go home to be with Him.

God loves you and He’s for you. Quit pointing the finger of blame and relax as God does His work in your heart. You want flowers and fruit, so you have to learn to see what is really happening when things come your way that seem unfair. You are learning to garden God’s way. You are learning to live fruitful for the Kingdom as a living garden of His blessings and love!

Hosea 10:12 “I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that He may come and shower righteousness upon you.'”
