Paul wrote these words to believers at Corinth,
“No temptation has come to you that is not common to man. But God is faithful, and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can endure, but when tempted, will provide a way of escape that you may be able to endure it..” 1 Corinthians 10: 13
Through Jesus also we have obtained access by faith into this grace in which we endure, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Sometimes when circumstances are almost overwhelming, what a great comfort to rest in the security of our Lord and Savior. Personally, during the past two years, He has given me endurance to continue serving Him during some difficult situations. I confess sometimes I have wondered why God is allowing all these adversities at my advanced age, but I believe that God loves me so much, He is endeavoring to prune, refine, and polish my old life into the likeness of my Savior before calling me home.
Heavenly Father, praise and thank You for loving me enough to give me endurance during this period while I’m enduring hardships. I love You and thank You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
