1 Corinthians 15: 8-10a Paul wrote: “Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle: because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain… ”
I can relate to those last words of Paul saying because of God’s grace, ‘I am what I am’. That is not true only in Paul’s life and mine but in every believer’s life. For I shudder to think what my life at one hundred years of age would be without the indwelling presence of God’s Holy Spirit in my old life. And although weak and dependent on others for most all physical needs, I can do all things through Jesus Christ, my Savior who strengthens me.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I truly thank You for reaching down from heaven, rescuing my sinful life and adopting me into Your royal family. Now I am an heir and a joint heir with Your Son Jesus Christ. And since I bear the name Christian, help me not mar that holy name; In His name I pray. Amen.
