Life Is Not To Be Lived Alone

As early as Adam when he lived alone in the Garden of Eden, there has been loneliness. God does not want His children to live lonely lives so He took a rib from Adam and created Eve to be his companion. I believe that God longs to have fellowship with His children. God came in the cool of the day to enjoy walks with the first couple.

Though sin did not destroy that desire, it created a barrier between God and man, and it took the sacrifice of His Son Jesus to remedy that barrier. While Jesus hung on the cross dying for the sins of mankind, He was forsaken by His heavenly Father because God would not look at Him while bearing all the sins of an wicked and evil world.

The earthly family was established by God, but eventually became so wicked, that He destroyed all mankind except for Noah and his family. Then after the flood God told man to multiply and replenish the earth.

I’m not a scientist, but even in the physical universe the sun and other planets work together to accomplish God’s plan for the universe. It is true no one or thing is an island to itself.  We were made to interact with others. Good examples of this are members of a church congregation with various duties working in a harmony.  Members of the human body working together to function as the Lord intended is another example. Paul explains this in 1 Corinthians 12: 12-27.  If one member suffers, the entire body suffers, and if one member is honored, all members rejoice together.

The same is true of the church body; however, God appointed some as apostles, some as prophets, some as teachers, some as workers of miracles, some with the gift of healing, others with helping, administrating, and using various tongues. But to be effective each of these mentioned must be done with love in the heart.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your all inclusive plan that allows the least of Your children to serve and help others in their families, churches, and communities. It’s a good feeling to know You bless even a cup of cool weather given in Jesus’ name. Amen.
