Lost and Found

While at In-service one of my friends found a wedding ring on the counter in one of the bathrooms. She turned it in at the office but they never made an announcement that a ring was waiting for the finder. Lost and found is a great place to go when you aren’t able to find your missing trinket of any kind. Technically it’s no longer lost if it’s been found by someone. But the owner still needs to retrieve it. Then truly the lost item will be found.

Oh beloved, when you were lost God retrieved you as most priceless. More priceless than a wedding ring or a national treasure. And amazingly your worth may not even have been known by you. I hope and pray your worth is realized now. It makes all the difference.

God wants you to know that you are priceless. More costly than the life of His Son. So precious to Him that He moved heaven an earth for your salvation. So very treasured that He is still moving heaven and earth for you. This salvation you walk in is not a one-time thing and then heaven. It’s a never-ending love story all through your life. You are redeemed – from the curse of the law, from the penalty of sin and from the enemy’s plans. Your name is engraved on the Lord’s hand and you cannot remove that engraving.

Why don’t you take a moment this morning and get with the Father and talk all this over? Ask Him to renew your pledge of love to Him – ask Him for His love to completely cover you so that you know what that Love is really like and so that you can live in it? Ask Him for fresh fire from Holy Spirit so that you can be more than just a bystander waiting for your destination. You want to be fully engaged as an emissary here on earth for that, beloved, is your assignment. Ask Him for insight to the truth of being released from the curse of the law – the penalty levied for not keeping the Law. Ask Him to help you realize that Grace is yours and Mercy and Peace. You aren’t destined to walk in futility, trying to make yourself good and trying to overcome the snares of the enemy. You’ve been recreated – in Christ you are made new – and you now have the unction of the Spirit to speak truth to your mind, help you walk in faith and allow you to live for Jesus instead of yourself. You aren’t the sum of your worst mistakes; you are the exact representation of Jesus – the Author and Finisher of your faith!

God loves you and He’s for you. Jesus loved you enough to commit to being your scapegoat. Holy Spirit loves you enough to dwell in your jar of clay. All this so you can run to the Lord this morning, free to approach the Throne, fully alive in the Spirit and ask for anything in Jesus’ Name. And you get to live, today and every day of your life, in the Light of this Magnificent, unprecedented Glory and Grace as truly you’ve been found and never have to live lost again!

2 Corinthians 5: 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Ephesians 2: 8 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God

Luke 19: 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.

Galatians 3: 13-14 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith
