Making History?

This time a year ago my hubby wasn’t working and we were facing two future surgeries we knew nothing about yet. He came through both of those with flying colors and today he works, both at home and in his former job. We made it. I say we because we were in it together. While ahead of time our history is a mystery, once we go through whatever we go through, we are changed. We can allow the changes to make us or break us. We can focus on what happened or we can focus on Who got us through it all.

Oh beloved, you’re making history! You may not know it yet, you may not see the evidence of God’s hand but He is using you to make an extraordinary life story. Don’t stop and drop with sorrow over what you’ve been through. Stand up and rejoice that you’ve made it! The King of All History has seen you thus far and He will continue to see you all the way home. You didn’t ask for everything that’s happened. You didn’t see it all coming. Some things were like comets that hit you without warning. But you are not a mere survivor – you are an overcomer! For a believer, one who knows Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the life you now live is strictly by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave Himself up for you!

You spread the fame of Jesus all over by your participation in the historic moments of life. Your future is secure, your home is in heaven and you have nothing to worry about in this life. Nothing. Life’s most history moments look a lot like disaster when you come up on them. But a year from now you will look back and see that you were becoming more than instead of less than. You are magnificent in all your life story because you know who holds the key – both to life and death and all the in betweens. You aren’t going to fail the season, the test, or the mess because your life is not in your own hands. Your life is making history and declaring the fame of the One Who alone holds the key to life and death!

God loves you and He’s for you. Nothing can stop that. Nothing can steal that. Nothing can destroy that. Run to the Lord this morning, praise His holy name, dance for joy and thank Him for this day – and all the days you’ve made it. And live for His glory in the Light of the Word of the Lord!

Isaiah 43: 2  “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”

Romans 8: 31  “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

2 Corinthians 4: 17  “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”

Zechariah 4: 6  “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.”
