My Help Comes From the Lord

There are days when the Chronic pain is so intense that I can’t even bear it and I start crying out to the Lord. Constantly praying and proclaiming My Healing. Sleepless nights tossing and turning every night, a constant battle with this fight. The question remains and always lies in my brain, where does my help come from? During the pain when I can barely do anything and need my husband to help with everything. I ask myself where does your help come from?

The  Bible tells us in Psalm 121:1 “I lift my eyes to the hills- where does my help come from? My Help Comes From The LORD, The Maker of heaven and earth. Indeed he who watched over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”

Knowing that my help comes from the Lord is so comforting. After all, when my husband is at work and I’m having constant pain trying to take care of my toddler, I begin to look to the Lord because that’s where my help comes from. On the days when I’m having a hard time moving around and barely have the strength to get out of bed, I meditate on God’s Word and turn to Nehemiah chapter 8 verse 10 on the tough days.

Nehemiah 8:10  “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

I always encourage people to not grieve but experience that Joy that God has for you, The Lord is the source of your strength and He wants to strengthen you and equip you. We need to start applying the Word of God in our lives. God’s name alone is a strong tower and in Proverbs, chapter 18 verse 10 shows us that all we need to do is run to him in our time of trouble and He will cover you. No matter what you are battling, whether it’s pain, depression, anxiety, anger or fear know that the Lord has you covered and help is on the way

Proverbs 18:10 declares “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” He wants to cover you and look to Him for your help comes from the Lord
