No Need to Worry

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. – Philippians 4:6

In a moment of worry, it may be hard to remember to pray and to lay all that is on your mind in that moment down at the altar and turn it over to God. This may not be something that someone can learn to do over night. It may take days, weeks, months, or even years to stop in those moments of worry and turn them over to God. I gave my life to Christ over six years ago now and there are still times when I find myself worrying about something that I should be trusting God to work out. If we simply tell God what it is that we need and thank him for where he has brought us, he will continue to give us what we ask for. You can never ask God for too much, he wants us to talk to him, to ask him for help, and to tell him when we are struggling. In the midst of the worries that you may be facing, pause and pray and tell God what you need him to do. It is then that you will begin to see God work.

Lord, it is not always easy to stop in the midst of worry, breathe, and talk to you. We know you are there, we know you are within us, but sometimes, when the weight is too much to carry, we worry instead of pray. We worry about whether or not we can keep going. We worry about whether or not we will make it and survive. With you within us Lord, we will. Remind us Lord that you are all that we need. That all we need to do is pray and talk to you Lord and you will provide for us in our times of worry. I ask this in your name Lord, Amen.
