Psalm 139: 13-16 a “For You formed my inward parts: You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You: for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being made in secret, and intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance in every one of them written in Your book…”
Perhaps you have heard it said after God made her, He threw the mold away. That statement is intended to be derogatory, but is true: for no two individuals are identical. No two have same finger prints or the same DNA: what a creative Creator we serve! Also it is said that no two snowflakes are identical; so based on these two facts there is no other person in the entire world just like you or me. That is an awesome thought, but also a humbling one. So no matter your or my circumstances, let us not be ashamed of the way the Potter made us. I remember while younger, I did not like myself very much and my personal appearance, but I no longer feel that way. Though I have never entered a beauty contest, I have accepted my personal appearance.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me and allowing me to live these many years. I am sorry the first years of my life were lived outside You will for my life, and the many times I have not given my best service to honor You. I ask Your forgiveness in the name of Jesus. Amen.
