Yesterday the guy who put in windows and gutters came back to the house. He needed to install a new screen and replace another one. He also needed to get up on the roof to check on the gutter and locate where it was leaking. Of course, my husband was up on the roof before I knew it. He was quickly joined by our installer and together they found and caulked the problem area. I can tell you right now I’ve never been on the roof of any house, nor do I plan to get up there. That’s not on my bucket list, it’s on my avoidance list!
They look dangerous because you are viewing them from ground level – in the flesh. But as the Lord views them from His perspective, they aren’t nearly as dangerous. In fact, He loves to get up close and personal so He can hone in on the problem and work His miracles over your danger zones!
Here’s the truth about your life and your walk with the Lord – God knows you by name so He understands you completely, more than any other person on earth. He is your provider, so He is absolutely able to provide for every situation you find yourself in. He is your guard, always watchful, always attentive, always protecting you. He is your shelter, your portion, your best friend, so that in all things, in all ways, in all that you do – He takes care of you and stays with you through it all. The highs and lows of life don’t make you dizzy because He is walking you through it all. Even when He calls you to go where you want to avoid – you can do it because you never go alone! He even makes the bitter water sweet and stops the damaging flow of the enemy from harming you as you travel through this life!
God loves you and He’s for you. Lord, we pray today that we can develop a trust in You like those men had such trust in the roof holding them up and that they would not fall. We understand Lord that you have things you want to accomplish in us and through us. We lose ourselves from fears and worries and release ourselves into Your hands. Problem areas we give to you as you cause us to rise on the heights and live in the Light of Your miraculous ways!
