What is the best weapon that we have?
PRAYER
When we get on our knees, it’s a place where God sees ( El Roi- the God who sees) our humbleness. Maybe what you have been praying for so long has yet to happen; maybe you are growing weary, but when all else fails, get on your knees! (If you can!)
What is the difference?
It is the place of extreme humbleness, kneeling to the King and hoping that what you suffer will pass, that everything you hope for will come to pass and that you may hear His voice speaking into your heart.
Prayers on your knees often result from unanswered requests, but it; ‘s when you are on your knees that the Lord can work in your heart. Our prayers focused on Him in a new way. Ask Him to speak into your heart so you may hear Him; His message will be simple and direct. Listen for His voice. It is always in peace, not turmoil.
How Do you get yourself ready for that prayer?
You put your phone away, get off your computer, take time alone in that quiet place, get on your knees, and go to the Father. The Holy Spirit will come upon your heart with a message for you in truth. Ask God to put the message deep into your heart so that you know what to do and heed that Call! Unless it seems urgent in my soul, I will often wait for confirmation through His word or timing.
Reading in Matthew 26:39, Jesus went to the Garden to pray
And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”
Jesus shows us that He humbled himself unto His Father. We need only follow His example in prayer.
