Message From God

Well I had one crazy dream last night. It was a conglomeration of events and among the events was me handing hubby a bowl of soup. As he was stirring it I told him, “By the way it’s cat soup.” We both woke up and I told him about it. He responded, “Hope that’s not prophetic.”

Oh beloved, there are some crazy things going on in this world right now. Don’t we hope this isn’t a series of crazy bad dreams that we never wake up from. You may be feeling that you may have to resort to things you don’t want to do or have in your life. While some people are getting closer to God and one another, others are abandoning everything in the trial.

God wants you to know this morning that your life is securely in His hand. Even when you have to attend church by listening to the radio or watch the online version, He is with you. Even if you sit in a church parking lot or your own living room, He is there. This morning as you prepare to make life somewhat normal, He is here. The same God who saved you by sending you a Savior is the same God who will get you beyond the “cat soup” events of life. While it looks like people are hammering away at your rights and ignoring your needs, God isn’t caught by surprise. No one can remove Him from His throne of authority. There is no other God. There is no other Savior. There is no other dream other than knowing who you are in Christ and what your rights as a believer are.

Someone this morning is doubting God. Someone this morning is fighting mad and ready to take matters into their own hands. Someone is wishing for a different set of circumstances. Now is not the time to give in to your emotions. It’s not cat soup you are dealing with, just a season of insecurity. And while everyone else may feel lost and frustrated, you are going to remain stable and at peace. Your ending is far greater than this chapter and you are going to be more productive in future seasons because you are called, chosen and equipped in this day!

God loves you and He’s for you. Even if He is calling you to repentance, it’s for your good and His glory. Even if He is asking you to make changes or swallow your pride in this condition, it’s for your good and His glory. Wake up this morning as close to the Lord as you can get and even closer. And then live hopefully joyfully aware of all His blessings in the Light of His glory and grace.

Isaiah 35: 10 Those who have been ransomed by the LORD will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

Hebrews 12: 3-4 Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

1 Corinthians 1: 18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God

Psalm 138: 8 The LORD will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
