Partnering with Heaven

As Danny leaves the house each work morning I always stand on the porch and wave bye. Personally, I’d like for him to head to work in a brand new truck. He doesn’t want that. He loves the truck he has. He’s not just fine with it, he wants the truck he has.

Oh beloved, sometimes we want things for people that they don’t even want. We may even spin our own wheels trying to make it happen for them. We want to see change. We want improvement. We want more for them.

God wants you to know this morning that while you can’t create things for people, you can pray for them. Your prayers in partnership with Holy Spirit make huge changes in the unseen world. But you’ve got to learn to partner with heaven. It may be a want on your part to see something you consider better, but it’s not a need. You may indeed see a need but the one you love says I’m fine just the way I am. God will speak the truth of prayer and intercession into your life. Even if the prayer doesn’t seem quite right or not enough it’s God who initiates the desire to pray and God who gives the answers. It is the Spirit who draws them and us to the Truth. We are simply conduits of God for His glory.

He also wants you to believe that all things work together for good. It’s not a blanket endorsement of the passive life. It’s just that His ways are indeed so much higher than ours that we can rest in that promise for those we pray for – even ourselves. There’s a big difference in praying the prayer of faith and butting your head against a spiritual wall. One draws you closer to God, the other draws you into confusion, worry, and frustration. Seek God’s face for the initiative of prayer, seek Holy Spirit for confirmation of prayer and let the entire situation rest in God’s hands. Jesus came to deliver the Truth once and for all to you for such a time as this.

God loves you and He’s for you – today in the midst of your troubled mind and heart. While you’re wringing your hands because nothing seems to change. Relax your mind and put your trust in the Lord. Give Him all your prayer requests and ask Him to show you His will. Run to Him and tell Him you will always praise Him and pray in the Spirit at all times. Then live, beloved, as the boldly courageous, interceding, devil stomping prayer warrior you are – walking in the Light of God’s Truth for every situation you have.

Jeremiah 29: 12-13 “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”

I Timothy 2: 1  “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.”

Romans 8: 26-27  “In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

John 14: 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
