Passionate Relationship

God reminds me of when my husband and I first met. I was smitten from the start. I had dated but I was not interested in any kind of “passionate relationship”. I just wanted to have fun. But when I fell in love thoughts changed. My desires were suddenly for him and it was inevitable that we would be married, because his thoughts were that way toward me!

Thus so with the Lord. I enjoyed the fellowship and fun in church circles but was not so much in love with Jesus. Then He came into my living room and introduced Himself to me in person and I fell in love! I love Him because He first loved me! And this is the most outstanding, wonderful, beautiful, passionate relationship I’ve ever had! This relationship with Jesus has made the relationships with my hubby whom I already loved as well as with others even more amazing!

Oh beloved, don’t shy away from a passionate relationship with the Lord! He is fervent towards you and zealous as well! He even says He is jealous for you! His love is what drew you to Him and this love relationship is what will keep you safe all the way to heaven. It’s time to fling off the fears and let God completely cover you in His love, joy, peace, kindness and more! It’s time to refuse caution and accept fire from the Holy Spirit to infuse you with His love and prepare you for His calling. Don’t fear the love of God for it never goes away, never fails and never gives up. You have a destiny to fulfill that only comes from a passionate relationship with the One Who loves you more than you can imagine.

God loves you and He’s for you! Rejoice that He has called you out of darkness to live a significant life in the palm of His everlasting hand through His passionate love for you!

2 Kings 19: 31 “For a remnant of my people will spread out from Jerusalem, a group of survivors from Mount Zion. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!”

1 Thessalonians 1: 4 “We know, dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people.”
