Ephesians 4: 1-6 “As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
As I prayed this morning for families, marriages, individuals, churches and communities I prayed for unity within the body of Christ. Let us each cry out to the Father for wisdom, direction and unity with other believers and for the cause of Christ to move forward and for the devil to be where he already is at… under our feet… stripped of any authority that we have given to him in error.
I pray that each of us recognizes what You have already done. You have secured the victory over the enemy and we do not have to fear, worry or be anxious about the battle in any way. We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against every spiritual force of the enemy to take us down and slander the cause of Christ. We do not fight with our flesh because we are weak, but You are strong. You said Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Help us to realize the authority that You have given us in Christ and to use it for Your glory. I pray that You restore peace and unity to each Christian individual, family, marriage, church, and community and all over the world so that Your Name and Your glory will be proclaimed throughout the whole earth. In Jesus matchless name I pray. Amen.
