Rest

What if rehab was just a place to rest? What if nothing were done to help the patient heal or regain their strength? It would be a nice place but would that be helpful? Danny needed lots of rest and still does. But it’s the combination of things that is bringing about real change and total healing.

Oh beloved God hears your cry for rest. He has seen your plight and He knows your heart. He also knows that you are in a battle for your very life. The enemy has pulled out all his plans and has executed them with excellence. Again you just want rest. But in this battle you are going to have real change and total healing. You are required by the Holy Spirit to get up and go to class- physical, mental and even spiritual training are daily necessities for you right now. You are weary and yet growing stronger. He is with you at your weakest moments. The outcome of this present warfare is total rehabilitation and more- you will never be this weak again. Because you are learning you will go forward in more wisdom, power and love. And your prayers are taking on new fire as you allow God to redirect and reapply His desires within you.

God loves you and He’s for you. No weapon formed against you will prosper. Rejoice that you aren’t going for victory you are working from victory as you live in the Light of Jesus and all He has already achieved for you.

Psalm 119: 28 My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Your word.

I Peter 5: 10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

2 Thessalonians 3: 3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

I Timothy 4: 8 Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.
